I finally got to watch both dvd's that I got for my birthday. Rightous kill was excellent, definitely worth the time, but let's face it, Deniro and Pacino,especially together, you can't not like them, so don't even try it. Fast and Furious (4), yes, I know, previously I called it #3, which actually was F & F toyko drift, also an excellent flick, but all different cast members, idkw,all the same, it's drift racing, you cant not like drift racing so don't even try it. Anyways, back to #4, Totally effin' kickass! Even more so is that my daughters sat and watched it with me (apparently Vin Diesel is a "hottie"). Works for me

How is it that President Obama's upcoming address to the nations students has become a controversy?Apparently it was OK for Big mistake #40 and Bigger mistake #41 to do the very same thing during their terms as president. Could it be, that the media, in a desperate attempt to fill 24/7 time slots, takes every shred of news and runs it through the grinder over and over? Maybe so, but I think this idea could be a whole different bitch for a different time. The bigger possibility would be the fact that the republi-cons are scared as hell. Scared shitless...scared beyond belief that big bad Obama is going to make it impossible for them to carry out the self-indulgent, backward thinking facades that they call their lives. At first, I was amused by all the republi-con whining, HA-HA! Fuckers, you want some french-crys with that wah-burger? Very soon after, I was sick of it, but now I'm OK with it again, because if the cons are bitchin', then good things are happening, and if the cons stop bitchin', then we( libs) better look out!

Long time, no blog...busy summer. Lots of fun was had, boating, swimming, relaxing. Minnesota vacation was a blast! Now I got my own laptop, thank you Mama and kids! Also got 2 dvd's, Rightous kill and Fast & Furious 3,which havnt been able to watch yet. Bought myself the 5th and newest installment in the Lamb of god legacy,which kicks 100%. anyways,nuff4now C ya

On a sad note, our family's hearts go out to the wife and family of the shooting victim at the Holocaust museum. I have always wondered and never understood how people can hate other people for race,religion,or whatever. Later in the afternoon, I saw a bumper sticker that read: The most violent element in today's society is ignorance. Well, that about summed it all up for me, I guess I'm prejudice also because I hate haters.

Christmas '07, our daughter Maggie got a guitar and amp. A few months later, I picked up an issue of Guitar World magazine because it had Dimebag Darrell on the cover. Watching our daughter learn and seeing Darrell play made me want to learn guitar also. I got my guitar Christmas '08, then Maggie and I started taking lessons up at Ye Olde Guitar Shoppe together in February. I am currently learning "Black Magic Woman" by Carlos Santana and Maggie's learning "Iron Man" by Black Sabbath. We're both learning "One" by Metallica so we can play rhythm and lead together. Now, my wife has a bass guitar (see her blog at: http://www.pseudablebliss.blogspot.com/ for pictures and description) which makes it all the more exciting. But, since I've only been playing a few months, there won't be any "you tube" videos for a long time (insert groans here). I know...I know...I realize there's a serious shortage of videos showing guys sitting somewhere in their houses playing guitar, but I'm sorry, you're just going to have to wait.

Well, here goes. I told my wife that I might like to try out this blogging thing, so being the totally awesome person that she is, she set up my spot for me. Now that it's done, I feel compelled to get a little something on here, so I'll rant a few minutes about the whole gay marriage yay or nay controversy.

Today, California voted to uphold the ban on gay marriage,which really irritates me. Come on CA, get your shit together. If Iowa can handle it, what's your malfunction? I have a sneaking suspicion that the right-wing religious fanatics have something to do with this (no big secret here, huh?).

These people are pissing me off more and more each day. Somehow, while reading from the big book of jokes they call their "bible," they have interpreted that "god" hates fags. I, myself was wondering if maybe it was the talking snake that told them this, or maybe the dude that spent three days inside a whale's belly hallucinated this idea? (some material here may or may not have been referenced from or thought of while watching Religulous - if you haven't seen it, do. Highly recommend it.)

What happened to separation of church and state? If you want religion, then by all means, go do it. But, in the words of Phil Anselmo: Be yourself by yourself, stay the fuck away from me.

So, I end this little rant. Hopefully you weren't too bored by it. Just chill out, relax, get a month or two older, and I'll try to come up with some other shit to talk about.
